Amanda Gore JQ®: Joy Intelligence

Wow this year is flying by so quickly!

Here in Australia we celebrate Mother's Day this week and we wish all Mothers' - where ever you are in the world - a wonderful day! If you are celebrating we have a great afternoon tea recipe to share with you; Sheryl's favorite Lumberjack cake. It's delicious and easy to make!

We hope you enjoy "Free hugs", our feature video this month. It's filmed in Italy and features the powerful song Hallelujah. To listen to it, scroll down to "Joy filled videos" at the bottom left side of this email.

Many thanks to everyone who took the opportunity to sign up for Pillar: 1 Gratitude. We are thrilled with the response and look forward to journeying through the program with you.

Amanda's take

How many times have you pointed your finger at someone physically or metaphorically as you blamed them for some situation?

We need to rest!

How can we have inner peace when we are traveling so fast that our souls can't even keep us with our bodies!

We rarely stop and genuinely celebrate our sucesses or reflect on the progress we have made - we just keep driving ourselves to have more. More of what? Stress, urgency sickness, frustration, anger, impatience, depression or just general anxiety?

Do you feel you have inner peace? Even for a minute? A sense of calm, and contentedness that frees up your breathing and allows you to truly savour a moment - even if it's watching a sunset while you are stopped at a traffic light.

The power of the words - 'If you say so'

Our words often speak volumes to others about our level of education and more importantly, have the power to program our minds. Listen to yourself over the next few days - both to your internal dialogue and what comes out of your mouth.

Happy Mother's day!

Well, it's that time of year again when all the newspapers advertise a range of kitchen labor saving devices for 'mother'. What makes people think that all women (especially mothers) crave for a new kitchen whizz or a fabulous toaster , rice cooker, iron, washing machine or microwave?

No! We want is diamonds - preferably big ones! Ha ha just kidding. Emeralds, sapphires or rubies would be fine! Think about it - if it's our 'special day' why not give us something that really makes us feel special - not something that means we can iron everyone's clothes more easily. Read more
