Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of amandagore.com, which is run by The Joy Project LLC (“we”, “us”). By using the site, you agree to them. They replace the old Terms and Conditions, Disclaimer and Copyright pages.

1. The content is for general information

Everything on this site, including blog posts, downloads and videos, is general information to help you and your team feel better and work better. It isn’t medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. For advice about your own situation, please talk to a qualified professional.

2. Your results are your own

The ideas and tools here work best when you put them into practice, and results vary from person to person and team to team. The testimonials on this site are real words from real clients about their own experience, and results vary. Research findings about workplaces in general, which we label as research, are not a promise of what our keynotes or courses will do for you.

3. Who owns the content

The words, videos, images, downloads and designs on this site belong to The Joy Project LLC and Amanda Gore, or are used with permission. Amanda Gore JQ® is a registered trademark of Amanda Gore. You’re welcome to share links to any page, and to quote a short passage with credit to Amanda Gore and a link to amandagore.com.

4. Free downloads and the Speaker Kit

The gifts on Free Stuff and the Speaker Kit are yours to use personally and within your own team, family and workplace. Please keep Amanda’s name and the amandagore.com address on them. Please don’t post them publicly, sell, license or repackage them, edit or translate them, remove Amanda’s name, use them in someone else’s training or course, or use Amanda’s name, logo or brand to suggest she endorses you. To use them in any of those ways, ask us first at amanda@amandagore.com.

Event planners, speaker bureaus and the media may reproduce Amanda’s approved bio, photographs and promotional copy from the Speaker Kit to promote a booking that has been agreed with us. We can only give permission for material we own, so anything from other people that appears on the site stays theirs.

5. Buying from us

The Joy Project LLC sells printed books, ebooks and products through our store on Square, and Square’s terms also apply to the payment. Prices are shown on each product in Australian dollars. Shipping charges and the countries we ship to are shown on each product page, and printed books and products ship only to those countries. Printed copies of Joy Is an Inside Job are printed and shipped by IngramSpark. Delivery times depend on where you live and the carrier, and we email tracking when your order ships.

Ebooks are delivered by email after purchase. We don’t offer change-of-mind refunds for ebooks once delivery has begun, except where the law provides otherwise. If your ebook is faulty, inaccessible or not as described, contact us and we’ll put it right.

If your order arrives damaged, incorrect or incomplete, or doesn’t arrive, please contact us promptly, preferably within 14 days, and include a photo where you can. This is a request, not a deadline, and it doesn’t limit your legal rights. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer law.

6. Returns

Please email us before you send anything back, so we can tell you what to do. Returns of printed books and products go to: The Joy Project LLC, PO Box 820024, Dallas, TX 75382, USA. Please keep your tracking number, and tell us your order details so we can match your return to your order.

7. Booking Amanda

Keynotes, workshops, retreats and coaching are confirmed by a separate written agreement, and that agreement governs the booking.

8. The course

The Unlock The Unspoken Effect course is sold by The Joy Project LLC and delivered through FreshLearn. The course has its own Course Terms, which you will see before you enroll, and FreshLearn’s platform terms also apply. If you’re really unhappy with the results, please contact Amanda at amanda@amandagore.com.

9. Links to other websites

We link to other sites we think you’ll find useful, such as YouTube and our store. We’re not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

10. Using the site well

Please use the site in a lawful, respectful way: no attempts to break, overload or copy the site without permission, and no sending us harmful code or spam through the forms. We may block access for anyone who misuses it.

11. Our responsibility

We work hard to keep the site accurate and available, and we provide it as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect loss arising from your use of the site or its content. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right or liability that can’t lawfully be excluded or limited. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, where The Joy Project LLC is registered. That doesn’t remove any consumer protection that applies where you live.

12. Changes, and which terms apply first

If we change these terms, the new version applies from the date at the top, and it doesn’t change a purchase you have already made. Legal notices to The Joy Project LLC should be sent to PO Box 820024, Dallas, TX 75382, USA, with a copy by email. If these terms differ from the terms for a product or course you bought, or from a signed booking agreement, the product terms or the signed agreement come first. How we handle your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
